Anchor Connect
DavitPro Anchor Connect is a roof anchor connection system designed to provide safe façade and rope access where standard davits won't fit. By positioning the anchor point away from the roof edge and extending reach with a rigging arm, it creates a secure working line over complex roof layouts. Ideal for buildings with limited edge space, weak perimeters or congested roof zones, Anchor Connect delivers safe, compliant access without compromising the structure.
DESIGNED FOR COMPLEXITY
Maximum Flexibility For Intricate Building Configurations
Where conventional davit base installation fails to overcome structural or spatial challenges, Anchor Connect reimagines building façade access by separating the anchor point from the working edge.
The system engages an engineered rigging arm to extend reach. With its innovative design, Anchor Connect solves common installation obstacles quickly – maintaining worker protection, full safety compliance, and operational efficiency.

VERSATILE APPLICATIONS
Reliable Rope Access for Challenging Environments
Anchor Connect excels in scenarios where conventional davit installations face practical or structural limitations. By decoupling the anchor location from the working edge, this system opens up façade access possibilities on buildings previously considered difficult or unsuitable for traditional height safety equipment.
Key Applications:
-
Buildings with insufficient edge structural capacity for davit bases
-
Historic or architecturally sensitive façades where edge mounting is prohibited
-
Rooftop environments with congested perimeters (e.g. plant rooms, equipment, services)
-
Structures with complex parapet details or waterproofing concerns at edges
-
Retrofit scenarios where structural reinforcement isn't feasible
-
Multi-level buildings requiring flexible access points at various heights
-
Industrial facilities with restricted edge access due to operational constraints

FAQS
Anchor Connect Frequently Asked Questions
Anchor Connect is an engineered façade access system that provides davit-style suspended access without installing a traditional davit base at the building edge.
It allows the anchor post to be positioned away from the perimeter while still providing safe over-edge rope access for maintenance, inspection and cleaning.
Choose Anchor Connect when a perimeter-mounted davit base isn't practical.
This is common here:
- The building edge cannot support davit loads
- Roof sapce at the edge is restricted
- Waterproofing or achitectural features must be protected
- Retrofit or historic buildings limit edge alterations
Anchor Connect delivers suspended access without the structural demands of edge mounting.
Anchor Connect posts can typically be positioned well back from the edge using reach arms up to 3 metres in length.
Exact positioning depends on structural capacity, building geometry and load calculations. Our engineers assess each project and specify a compliant, certified layout.
Yes. Anchor Connect is designed for suspended façade access, including window cleaning and external maintenance.
The extended arm provides safe standoff from the building face, while integrated rollers reduce rope wear and improve movement control. It's ideal where permanent edge davits would be intrusive or impractical.
Yes, when configured corectly.
The system includes dual connection points, allowing a separate resuce line to be rigged win lin with best practice. A documented rescue plan and trained personnel are still required.
We can assist with rescue configuration and compliance planning.
We typically require:
- Roof plans and sections
- Structural material details (concrete, steel, etc.)
- Edge/parapet details
- Intended use and frequency
If drawings aren't available, our engineers can carry out a site survey and provide certified structural calculations and installation drawings.
Anchor Connect must be visually checked before use and formally inspected at least annually by a competent person under BS 7883:2019.
After any fall or structural change, the system must be assessed before reuse. We can provide inspection support or managed recertification services.
Physical installation typically takes 1-3 days depending on site conditions.
From enquiry to certified installation, projects usually take around 8-16 weeks to allow for engineering, calculations and approvals. Timescales are confirmed after initial assessment.
Any structural alteration near the anchor location should trigger a review.
New plant, roofing works, façade changes or penetrations ca affect load paths. The system may require reassessment or recertification to remain compliant.
