Introducing DavitPro Base Connect
A permanent davit base system designed to provide secure anchorage for safe façade maintenance where targeted access is required. Fixed davit bases are installed directly into the building structure, with lightweight portable davit arms that can be relocated between positions. Ideal for projects that don't require full perimeter coverage, Base Connect delivers a cost-effective solution without compromising safety or compliance.
A PERMANENT SOLUTION
Targeted façade Access Made Easy
DavitPro Connect is designed for buildings where only specifc façade areas require regular maintenance access. Ideal for commercial offices, hotels, healthcare facilities and mixed-use developments, it provides a permanent anchorage for areas such as entrace canopies, feature glazing and signage, without the need for full perimeter systems.
Permanently installed sockets provide structural anchorage to 21kN, while lightweight and portable davit arms allow access acorss multiple locations using a single arm set. With a range of surface-mounted, cast-in and wall-mounted base options, Base Connect integrates easily with different roof structures, waterproofing details and architectural constraints.
Where plant equipment, walkways or services limit continuous rail installation, Base Connect offers a smarter alternative. By targeting access only where it's needed, it delivers long-term safety, flexibility and control over capital expenditure.

Targeted access zones
Install permanent bases only where access is required, such as entrance canopies, glazing, signage or specific façade sections, without over-engineering the rest of the building.
Cost-effective deployment
Provide full safety only where needed. Shared arm inventory across multiple bases helps control capital costs while maintaining compliance and operational flexibility.
Congested roof compatibility
Ideal where plant, walkways or services restrict continuous rail systems. Strategically positioned bases allow safe access between obstructions without disrupting roof layouts.
Flexible retrofit solution
Add permanent davit anchorage to existing buildings with minimal disruption, or integrate seamlessly into new builds and refurbished projects.
Architectural discretion
Low-profile stainless steel sockets minimise visual impact when not in use, making the system suitable for architecturally sensitive or heritage environments.
Scalability for future needs
Start with essential access points and expand as requirements change. A standardised system ensures compatibility with existing arm inventory over time.
BASE CONNECT CONFIGURATIONS
Selecting the Right Base Type for Your Roof Structure
DavitPro Base Connect accommodates virtually any roof construction, waterproofing detail or architectural constraint through comprehensive base configurations. From green roofs and inverted roofs to built-up membranes, warm roof construction and wall-mounted applications, each base style addresses specific structural and weatherproofing requirements whilst maintaining identical safety performance and 21kN load capacity.
Understanding which base configuration suits your building ensures proper waterproofing integration, structural adequacy and long-term performance. Our in-house engineering team assesses your specific roof construction, substrate conditions and weatherproofing details to recommend the optimal base specification for your project.
Twin Gusset Type
A common option for green and inverted roofs, using dual strengthening gussets for stability. Designed for pitch-pocket weathering and available in standard 300mm, 400mm, and 500mm heights.
Twin Lug Single Gusset Type
Ideal for built-up membrane roofs where standard pipe flashing is required. Features two welded lug connection points and avoids the need for pitch-pocket detailing.
Warm Roof Options
Designed to protect vulnerable waterproofing layers, with enlarged cover disks to direct water away from upstands. Available with welded lugs, removable D-rings or plain anchor holes.
Wall Mounted Bases
A façade-mounted solution where roof fixing is impractical due to structure or design constraints. Provides direct anchorage to vertical building elements with a choice of offset dimensions.
Cast-In Bases
A new-build solution installed during concrete pours for maximum structural integrity. Eliminates drilling hazards and offers a clean, flush-mounted finish for discreet installations.
Weather Protection Options
A choice of weather caps prevents debris and water ingress when sockets are not in use. Particularly suited to exposed, public or stone-ballasted roof environments.
CERTIFICATIONS & COMPLIANCE
Independently Tested and Fully Compliant
DavitPro Base Connect systems meet and exceed all applicable British and European standards for personal fall protection anchor devices and rope access equipment. Every system undergoes rigorous independent third-party testing by DEKRA (Notified Body 0158), a German UKAS-verified inspection body, providing objective verification that systems perform as specified when workers' lives depend on them.
Manufactured in our EN 1090:2018 certified facility with ISO 9001:2015 quality management, full material traceability, documented weld procedure specifications, and coded welders qualified to EN ISO 9606-1. Project-specific structural calculations, installation certificates, material certificates, DEKRA test reports and compliance documentation are provided as standard, ensuring complete audit trails for health and safety compliance and CDM requirements.

FAQS
DavitPro Base Connect Frequently Asked Questions
The number of bases depends on your façade layout and maintenance access requirements. As general guidance, commercial buildings often position bases every 15-30 metres along accessible elevations. Our team can assess your building and recommend the appropriate spacing.
Yes. Base connect is fully scalable. You can install essential access points initially and add further bases later, using the same standardised arm system. This allows phases installation as budgets or building needs evolve.
Surface-mounted bases are fixed to existing concrete or steel structures, making them ideal for retrofit projects.
Cast-in bases are installed during new construction and integrated into the reinforcement before concrete is poured, providing enhanced structural performance and long-term durability.
The correct option depends on whether your building is existing or new-build.
Weatherproofing depends on your roof type and base configuration. Options include pitch pockets, pipe flashing systems, or integrated covering plates for warm roof constructions.
All bases are supplied with weather caps to prevent water and debris entering the socket when not in use. Final detailing is typically coordinated with roofing contractor.
Concrete installations typically require a minimum C25/30 structural grade. Steel installations require suitable structural gade and thickness.
Our engineering team will assess your substrate and confirm suitability before installation.
Yes. When specifically designed and certified for two-user applications. Two-person use must be confirmed during the design stage and documented in the installation certification. Single-user systems are rated for one technician only.
In typical UK environments, stainless steel bases can achieve 25+ years of service life. In coastal or highly corrosive environments, Grade 316 stainless steel is recommended to extend longevity.
Regular inspection ensures components are maintained and replaced when required.
Pre-use visual checks should be carried out before deployment. A detailed inspection must be completed at least every 12 months in accordance with LOLER and BS 8610.
Maintenance is generally limited to cleaning, checking fixings, and replacing wear components where required.
Yes. Base Connect is frequently installed to replace temporary or non-compliant systems. Our engineers assess existing arrangements and design a compliant, certified solution that meets current standards and duty-of-case requirements.
If a defect is identified, the affected base must be removed from service until remedial works are completed and re-certified. Minor issues can often be rectified quickly, while structural concerns will require engineering assessment before return to use.
