DavitPro Systems for Façade Access

The DavitPro davit system for façade access is built on over 20 years of specialist experience protecting rope access and building maintenance teams. Our modular systems provide secure, permanent anchorage for façade inspection, cleaning and maintenance, delivering the safety and flexibility demanded by modern commercial and high-rise buildings.

DavitPro Systems for Façade Access

ENGINEERED MODULAR DAVIT SYSTEMS

Safe Building Maintenance and Rope Access

Unlike temporary or inadequate anchorage solutions, DavitPro systems are engineered as Type A non-deforming anchor devices. Workers connect directly to structural attachment points at the davit base, ensuring permanent anchorage to the building fabric for dependable protection at height.

DavitPro is available in three configurations, Bases, Rail and Anchors, allowing the system to adapt to different building layouts, access requirements and architectural constraints. From discrete installations on heritage buildings to continuous coverage on modern high-rise facades, DavitPro delivers flexible, compliant access solutions.

All DavitPro systems are independently tested by DEKRA and certified to BS 8610, with load rating tailored to the specific configuration and application requirements. Manufactured in our EN 1090-certified facility and supported by ISO 9001 quality management, DavitPro delivers dependable safety without compromise.

THREE SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS

Which DavitPro Configuration Do I Need?

DavitPro's modular design offers three system configurations, each tailored to different façade access requirements and building layouts. Choosing the right configuration helps ensure safe, efficient access and long-term value.

The best option depends on access frequency, roof structure, fixing locations, architectural constraints and budget. Our in-house engineering team provides expert guidance to specify the most suitable solution for your building and operational needs.

DavitPro system for façade access and maintenance

DavitPro - Base Connect

Fixed davit sockets are installed at selected locations, with portable arms moved between positions as needed. Ideal for buildings where only specific façade areas require access, or where roof congestion prevents a continuous rail. A cost effective solution for limited or infrequent façade maintenance.

DavitPro - Rail Connect

A continuous rail system allows davit arms to travel around the full building perimeter. Best suited to full glazed high-rise buildings or complex facades that require frequent, unrestricted access. Maximise efficiency by removing the need for repositioning.

DavitPro - Anchor Connect

Designed for buildings where bases or rails aren't practical due to roof build-up, space constraints or architectural features. Provides secure anchorage directly to structural elements, delivering full safety performance where conventional systems won't fit.

FAQS

DavitPro For Façade Access Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to the most common technical and practical questions about our DavitPro systems for façade access.

DavitPro is designed to suit most building types, including commercial offices, residential towers, hotels, hospitals, and industrial buildings. The modular system can adapt to flat roofs, parapets, green roofs, and complex layouts. Our engineers assess your building and recommend the right configuration.

Bases: Fixed socket locations and the perimeter with portable arms repositioned as needed.
Rail: Continuous perimeter coverage for fully glazed facades
Anchors: Structural anchorage where low-level bases are impractical

The right option depends on your façade coverage requirements and roof constraints.

Yes. Surface-mounted bases allow DavitPro to be installed on existing concrete or steel structures, subject to structural assessment and fixing calculations.

DavitPro provides permanent, engineered façade access without the recurring costs or visual impact of scaffolding or MEWPS. Compared to BMUs or cradles, it has lower capital cost and minimal mechanical maintenance. It also eliminates reliance on temporary anchorage.

A visual check should be carried out before use. A detailed inspection is required every 12 months in accordance with LOLER and BS 8610. Maintenance is generally limited to inspection, cleaning, and replacement of wear components where necessary.

DavitPro is designed to be low-profile and architecturally discreet. Only the stainless steel sockets remain visible, and these can be powder coated to match the building. Arms are stored off-site when not in use.

DavitPro installations typically fall under Building Regulations (Part A - Structure), CDM 2105, and the Working at Height Regulations 2005. Structural calculations and compliance documentation as part of the design process.

Installation time depends on system type and building size. Surface-mounted bases typically take a few hours per location, while full perimeter systems may take several days. Programmes are planned to minimise disruption.

Yes, provided operatives hold appropriate rope access qualifications (such as IRATA certification). DavitPro is designed specifically for professional rope access use.

DavitPro is modular. Additional bases or rail sections can be added, and existing configurations adapted, subject to structural review.

DavitPro arms incorporate integrated rollers at deviation points to prevent rope contact with metal edges. This reduces abrasion risk and extends rope service life.

Yes, when specifically designed and certified for two-user configurations (21kN rating per BS 8610). This must be confirmed in your installation documentation.

DavitPro requires adequate structural substrate strength. Concrete, structural steel and suitable reinforced roof structures are typically acceptable, subject to engineering assessment. Where substrates are inadequate, alternative solutions may be engineered.
